[a dance floor is set up near-ish the house itself, sparkling with fairy lights.]

[Izzy still has Remus by the hand when they reach the dance floor, even though she's already started grooving somewhat to the music.]

[Forgive the young man, but he's a little more stiff. HOW TO DANCE?]

[it's a pretty jaunty song, so Isabelle isn't that intent on keeping him close just yet. She grins at his slightly stiff movements, simply shifting her hips back and forth.]

You get more into it after a while.

[Seeeeexy laaaady.]

Hopefully I won't look like such a fool when everyone's eyes are likely locked on you.

[she couldn't be unsexy if she tried.]

You don't look like a fool anyway.

[That sounds like the truth, man. ALRIGHT, he's trying to get down a little but his reserved movements are unlikely to turn into anything much grander tonight.

Dancing is just not for Remus Lupin.]

Well, that's some kind of improvement, then.

[that's okay. She appreciates the effort, at any rate. She also casually tones her own dancing down so as to make him look decent.]

I'm surprised. I don't know, I don't think you could look like a fool at anything. You're way too grounded for that.

[All right. He can take that.] Thanks. With friends like mine, I do my absolute best to stay responsible.

Someone has to, you know.

You know, with them? I'm not surprised. [the song slows down - damn, and they were just getting into it - and Izzy moves a little closer, one hand lightly on Remus' shoulder in case he's uncomfortable: she can move it easily.]

But you do a great job.

[Alright. Hand on shoulder. He can handle this. Really, he can.

He's supposed to put a hand on her waist, right? Please don't let him get slapped for being forward if that isn't right...]

Thanks. If it was anyone else, I wouldn't think it was worth it. But despite all their immaturity and how much trouble they drag me into, I like them.

I'm sure you can relate to that kind of relationship with someone, right?

...that was cute. |D nolessthanseven August 9 2011, 04:02:12 UTC
[totally fine, Remus. Don't even worry.]

Sounds kind of like my brothers, actually. No matter how much they put me through, and how exasperating they are sometimes, it's still totally worth it.

[WELL NO SLAPPING so this plan is going well so far. And he can't deny that it is kinda nice feeling...]

Yes, the most difficult things to deal with are usually worth it in the end, aren't they?

[being close to people is a very nice feeling, yes.]

Generally speaking. I mean, one of my exes wasn't really that worth it, but whatever. That's over. [she shrugs, shooting him a pleased smile.] I've moved on.

[This is new for him ;O;]

Oh? [WHAT DO. IS THIS A TRAP. HOW DO GIRLS WORK.] You, uh, had some trouble with him?

nolessthanseven August 13 2011, 05:17:33 UTC
[it shall soon be old hat. You now have an Izzy, Remus.]

Well, it depends on what you mean by trouble. [no trap. Just Isabelle, plain and simple. She is the picture of nonchalance.] He was a faery, so I probably shouldn't have expected much from him anyway. He never got my jokes.
