[anyone passing by a construction area would hear the sound of lots of metal and steel crashing to the ground. upon further investigation, they would find a familiar looking blond wearing sunglasses and in casual wear rather than his bartender suit

Lenalee was coming from shopping with heavy-looking bags in her hands. Since the number of people living in the house got even bigger, she had to go out to get food quite often (even though nobody would be able to get close to Allen or Kirby ever).

"Mr. Heiwajima?"

Lenalee called out to Shizuo with a smile upon seeing him.

Shizuo was just setting down some bags of powdered concrete that would be mixed later when he heard a voice he hadn't heard in a while.

"...Oh. Lenalee, right?" he asked as he turned to look at the girl.

"Yes" Lenalee gave a nod as she walked towards him. "It's been a while, isn't it?"

"Yeah, guess it has."

Small talk. He was never good at this.

"...How have you been?"

[crystal_waltz]

"I've been fine." Lenalee replied with a small nod. "What about you?"

Considering how people kept appearing and disappearing here and there, she was glad to see that at least some of the familiar faces still remained there.

"All right."

Things weren't as bad as they could have been, anyway.

Lenalee gave a small nod at his response. Her face suddenly lit up even more, when an idea came to her mind.

"Oh, Mr. Heiwajima, would you like to have some coffee?"

Yes, this was one of her greatest hobbies.

Shizuo tilted his head a little at her question. He then glanced at all the work he had done.

"...There's not really much else I need to do...so I guess I can."

"I'm glad to hear that. We have just changed our house, so I hope you like it."

With that Lenalee made a polite gesture to show the way before she started walking.

"Is there any special food you'd like to have? We can go to a shop on the way."

Shizuo blinked and didn't move to follow her at first.

"...Wait...huh? Special food?"

He had no idea what was going on. He thought they might go to some cafe or something and get coffee there. Not be invited to her house and possibly be treated to a meal!

"Oh yes, I thought we'd go to the new house me and my friends have, if you don't mind? But of course, we can go to a cafe or somewhere similar too." She said, with a cheerful tone. She preferred making coffee herself, though. Still, she'd go with whatever Shizuo would choose.

"...Sure it wouldn't be a bother?"
