Angeal may have felt like he'd be not-so-good company, but Zack has never cared about that and he just plops himself down on the bench opposite Angeal, leaning forward on the table with a slightly concerned look in his eyes.

"You gonna stay out here alone all night, man?"

Ignoring Angeal's look, Zack leaned forward with a grin though the concern hadn't faded in the slighest.

"No, the point was to get out and have some fun. Not even you can have fun just sitting by yourself."

Because Zack would be damned if he let anyone mope during this; the whole point had been to cheer people up and boost morale, after all. Which was why Zack was his normal self after that comment, giving Angeal a half-pout.

"Considering what? I can host a bonfire, you know."

With what could only be described as a groan, Zack thumped his head against the picnic table and gave Angeal a look that might as well have been called his famous puppy-dog-eyes.

"Seriously, man. Loosen up a little. Worrying about what's gonna happen isn't going to make it stop or turn around and high-tail it back the way it came."

If it did work that way, Zack would never have to worry about what he'd go home to again. But things didn't work that way, and so help him Shiva, Zack was going to try and drag Angeal from his funk.

Waving a hand in the air to clear it of that idea, Zack looked up to look Angeal in the eyes. He knew that his former mentor meant what he said, but that didn't mean he'd let the older man off the hook that easily.

"Yeah, I know, and we're gonna help as many as we can, but can you help 'em if you're always off by yourself like this? You've got to get involved to save people, you know?"

There was no point in hiding if you wanted to help people. Zack had learned that a long time ago.

"Doesn't explain why I haven't seen you around, man." Because it wasn't like Zack had just stayed and worked on the Arena. He'd gotten out and helped some people, and he hadn't seen hide nor hair of Angeal anywhere.

"I'm starting to get worried about you."

And there it was, full out and bare for anyone looking to see. Zack was just a tad worried about Angeal, that was all. After everything else, it was to be expected.

Angeal does have quite a point there; keeping an eye on Seph, Genesis, and Cloud has taken quite a lot of Zack's time, and Soldier...well, he's a handful but at least Zack doesn't have to worry about him attacking anyone and burning down the house!

"Always got time to worry. Just don't have the time to fix the problem." Who does, really? After hearing Angeal's explanation, however, the concern fades out to relief and Zack smiles. That explains a lot, actually.

"He giving you as much trouble as I did?"

With the more...serious topic behind them, Zack only laughs and shakes his head. Should Angeal expect anything else?

"Well, at least you know what to do with him. Experience comes in handy, doesn't it?"
