[Despite her "minor" mishap upon waking up from a terrible nightmare, things are looking up (though she couldn't do anything to stop Neku from coming). For now, she'll focus on getting better. She sighs, letting Hope'

[Kid was watching Hope heal with great fascination. it was almost like Kim's healing abilities, which of course made him think of witches. not that he suspected Hope of such, particularly with his rather normal soul wavelength.

so he just stood off to the side, silently observing and letting the other boy do his thing. he can always ask questions later. right now, Shiki's recovery was more important.]

( Although his magic has become something of a second nature to him, he's silent as he focuses on casting the cure spell until he's sure Shiki is fully healed--not wanting to miss something. Though, he can't him noticing, how much easier this is a lot easier this is when he doesn't have a giant monster breathing down his neck.

So he lets himself relax a little after a moment, glancing back toward Shiki. )

Feeling any better?

Mm! [She manages to give him a bright smile.] Much better~

[Okay, note to self, get a bike or something because running all the way there was not fast enough. Either way, Neku will be rushing through the door now to where everyone is. Of course, he's going to ignore Hope and Kid for the moment and rush to Shiki]

Shiki, you alright?!

[he was about to thank Hope for his help when hello there, Neku.]

Neku?

[he had actually moved a little away from where he had been standing the moment the door had burst open and-well this was unexpected to say the least. though in retrospect, probably not that surprising. weren't the two friends? even despite the dream...]

[skycutting]

( Hope is rather grateful when he hears she's all right. He'll hold his hands out for a moment longer before the blue light vanishes, and he pulls his hands back just in time for Neku to bolt in through the door.

Needless to say, its a tiny bit awkward for Hope, given the dream and to now see the very same person standing there and clearly worrying. But hey, what's friendship without some attempted murder thrown into the mix? He should know... having done almost the same before with Snow. )

[She frowns at Neku suddenly bursting in. They're not exactly in a great place right now and she told him already not to come. She turns away, burying her face into the edge of the couch.]

I'm fine. You can leave now, Neku.

Uh, hey...

[Now noticing Kid and Hope. Wow this was kinda awkward. Although that thought was immidiatly shot down by what Shiki said. That... really hurt and it shows a bit. Looking a bit serious now though]

I'm not leaving.

[aaaand he's looking from one to the other. is there a reason why he's suddenly reminded of Soul and Maka? he is internally sighing. how did he get dragged into something like this? it would be better if he and Hope just left, but he wasn't quite sure if that really would be a good idea.

he would wait another round of tags a few more minutes and see if he can get a better read.

whatever this was, it was clear the two needed to "talk" about it. even if only one seemed to be willing at the moment.

in the meantime, he took the opportunity while they were distracted to tap Hope's shoulder and give a subtle movement of the head to indicate that they should at least step back and give them room.]

( He blinks at the reaction from Shiki and the response from Neku, finding himself feeling well... terribly awkward all of the sudden. Either way, his thoughts are starting to fall along the same route as Kid's own and he wonders if it would just be better to leave at this point.

Although he wants to make sure he's completely healed her, it was clear that interrupting them might make things even more awkward.

So, by the time Kid taps his shoulder, he's already starting to move. Glancing back and giving a nod as he follows off to the side, tugging a bit at his wrist brand. )

Why?

[Shiki gritted her teeth, steeling herself from looking at Neku. She curled up her hands into fists, trying to stop the tears that were threatening to fall.]

I told you not to come...

What, was I supposed to just leave you like that? No way I could do that.

[There's not a lot of bite in his words even though he is very frustrated right now]

Of course not. [She lets out a bitter sounding laugh.] Of course you won't. God...

[She shifts her body so that she's not leaning on the sofa anymore but she's still not looking at him.]

I'm trying so hard to...

[She suddenly finds it difficult to breathe, like her throat was closing up.]

[Even without her saying it, he knew what she was talking about and he found himself feeling a bit awkward. He had come to terms with it but this was in front of other people that he thinks don't know.]

... I know, but ignoring me and hoping that'll make everything better won't actually solve anything.

[Trying to inhale to calm herself but it became shaky. Even trying to swallow her saliva sudden became difficult.]

Even looking at you--it hurts. It really [her voice was breaking here] hurts...

[... sakldjfasg ugh, he was starting to feel bad but he couldn't just back down now. It wouldn't solve anything and although he feels bad about it he just wants her to understand that this, is going to make it worse]

Yeah well, trying to ignore you like you wanted me to isn't exactly working out for me.
