Heat or not. Cloud wasn't just going to skip out on doing something to keep his mind off the recent on-goings of his new home. Back in Midgar, when he was having one of these moments he could have just gone off for days and not seen anyone. It was those moments where he had some time to himself. Something that seemed rare in the busy house that Tifa ran with ease. He had no objections to his home in Midgar however, they did things almost like clockwork to the point where the irregular was regular for them. After the events with Kadaj and his gang, it was hard to think of the past when the future was blinding him in the present. Marlene. Denzel. They had become a focus in his world that when he had arrived to Somarium, he really hadn't seen life outside of the makeshift family he had surrounded himself with. But it was something that was going to have to be remedied eventually. Cloud had to tell himself that the past was the past; especially when dealing with the likes of Sephiroth within the city. If the place hadn't been burned down as of now, then he was being optimistic that it wouldn't burn down by Sephiroth's hand at all. Not yet at least. There was still some other factors here that could easily do so without the help of Jenova's manipulations.

He knew it was cause for concern, but he also knew that there were boundaries somewhere. Even if he didn't step over them out of respect for Sephiroth, but Tifa. He wouldn't do or say anything simply because of Tifa, unless he was needed. Just because the silent truce was being upheld by him, didn't mean he was going to head over to Sephiroth's to braid his hair or anything like that. Cloud didn't have what Tifa did -- time. Seeing past everything that Sephiroth was destined to do was something that was going to take exactly that. Especially after everything Sephiroth had put him through.

The tendency that Cloud seemed to have of drifting off into thought while he was out driving outweighed a lot more things in his life. The 'former SOLDIER' didn't rely on the Dreamberry to find where he was going, as he had spent most of his time when he had first arrived walking around and learning the streets. It was more of self-confidence thing than anything else. He wanted to know where he lived before he felt entirely comfortable with it. Even though he hadn't even felt that just yet. Things were odd in Somarium. From ghosts to scarecrows to...whatever else he could think it could throw at them. Cloud hadn't been through a lot since arriving in the place, but he had heard enough to give him a good idea of what could be thrown at them. He didn't anticipate it, needless to say. But like always, he kept that more to himself than anything else. It wasn't that he was tired for having to go through everything -- it was that he was wondering how worse his luck could get. Being stuck in the dream world was not so bad, though. It was more everything that had led up to this that was pretty bad. The good could seemingly outweigh the bad. It was just...there was a lot of bad.

Cloud had told himself to forget the past ( to some extent ) and was success with doing so. He was successful only after fighting the remnants, but he did so anyway. He was success in knowing that nothing in the past had been his fault. It was why he hadn't decided to seek out Aerith as of yet. It was also way he treated Zack as if he had never died. If he allowed those things to continue to weigh him down, nothing was ever going to change for him. He was always going to be stuck in the consistent repetitive cycle that could easily tear him apart. Moving on was something he did on a day-to-day basis back in Midgar, he would continue it there.

Riding his motorcycle in the heat wasn't exactly smiled upon, especially if he left it out in the sun while he tried to retreat into the Cottage for cool air. A rare occasion but it happened every once and a while. More recently, he had found driving around to be another way to cool himself off. The air whipped around him enough to make it seem cooler that he probably could spend hours just doing that rather than focusing on attempting to get his delivery business off the ground. But at the moment he was trying to do just that, even if it was within the boundaries of his own circle of friends that he was making the delivery too. Cloud's thoughtful drifting off was only stopped when he snapped back to the road, nearly missing a pedestrian and skidding to a stop as she evaded him. The swordsman sat up on his bike, pulling up his sunglasses as he looked around to...really, see if there was too much damage done or not.
