do what you love, purely for the love of it (and not because it pays the bills)

for baphijmm and for my own sake. I probably need to download it and watch it everyday.

The pleasure of finding things out-An interview of R.P. Feynman

Dammit, it's true, you just have to do physics for the fun of it, but with the pressure to preform and publish and that crap.... Oi... hopefully I can find a place where I can start doing physics just for the hell of it again.

But Richard's right, most of the responsibilities you have in life are your fault. The only way to get anything done in physics is to stop thinking you have to do something significant and ignore your responsibilities. Someone else will do it. Whether it is discovering something significant or chairing some commitee, it doesn't matter. Your life doesn't have to be significant. Just play.

There are some games I've left behind. That Saturn/Lucifer problem, and recently I wanted to play with some of the proposals for a quantum computer. But physics keeps on getting in the way of physics. Arg...

When physics becomes a chore, you look for other diversions; most of which are a waste of time.

And somehow, I gotta take care of myself and my future bills

Bah! I'm missing what Feynman said.

Trust that your game will take care of you. Eventually.
(He didn't say that by the way)

Hmmm. I suppose I can completely ignore my homework and try to wow people with stupid physics tricks for a grade :).

ideas of cosmic significance, introspective
