Fur

I just talked to an ljer I haven't seen in a while. Well, her account is dead. Duh.

Incidently, she was a furry. She fancied herself to be a green dragoness. *headslap*

Anyhow, she used to be part of some gaming communities I was part of, but was chased away by drama. Maybe it was because she was an exhuberant furry, but a large part of the community didn't care, maybe only because she was a high level and would exchange high level items for pictures of herself as a dragon (kinda commissioning members of the community to do artwork). Or maybe it was because her "exchanges" were deep into the grey area of the "no real world item trading" rule of the game. Or maybe because she was an occasional player killer (both communities are very anti-PK). Well, the final nail in the coffin were accusations of heavy auto use and account sharing. She left LJ after that without very much drama, thankfully.

Maybe it happened because a bit before both communities were burned by another "dragon" that loved to make the most outlandish claims.

Eh, its a bit sad, she was one of the few that made interesting posts and used proper English...

Hmmm... furries still rub me the wrong way. But, still, Furries Are Peoples, Too™. I think, whatever caused the drama, her furriness(or scaliness, whatever) made it worse. Ach, I don't even like to think about such people as furry or otherkind or whatever the hell they like to call themselves; I like thinking about and treating them as humans. I guess the part that irks me about furryness is their insistence that they are not human.

Eek, dehumanization is scary.

Ah, well... People, but not human people, if I want to be politically correct. Blah, when political correctness creates social divides, screw PCness. You're all people. Transgender, gay, republican (:P), furry, scaly, kitchen appliancy, screw you and your divisions. You're all people, and I love you man! :,( (hehehe)

( I wonder if I've met any scalies that were jealous of my super-awesome last name :P ) TOOT!
