Ode to Autumn

I don't think I'll ever overcome my enchantment with this time of year. The oppulent colors, brisk air, bonfires serving both recreational and practical purposes, playing dress-up, nature busting out all its moves before waltzing into winter. Autumn is such a rich season. It is the season in which I undoubtedly and ironically feel most alive. I've considered moving out of this Northern region before, but I'm not quite sure I could leave this short spurt of visual and sentimental decadence behind.

I think about the first day of Junior High and the excitement and nerve-wrecking that was surrounded by this physical environment of change. I think about fun fairs and festivals. I think about babies being ridiculously humiliated in Halloween costumes without an ounce of say in the matter, yet being so insanely adorable that you can't help to feel a little warm and fuzzy. Anne Geddes: child abuser. Just kidding.

*sigh*

I ♥ Autumn.
