Things independent
Independence week has passed and a whole lot of things happened. Some good, some not so good.
- 2127 Intercity cancelled and left standing like a fool on the station = not-so-good; services restored in time to get back = good. No one knew the reasons. Not security, not floods.
- Swades on TV = good; Project Swades = not-so-good. Why do a parallel govt. aid thingy, noble intentions apart?
- Meeting my cycle-to-school-together chum after 12 years = good; meeting only for 20 mins = not-so-good. But we are in contact now, so this will be remedied.
- Huma Adlabs right outside KJMG = good; Mangal Pandey running on all 4 screens = not-so-good. Ok movie. Not bad, nothing to rave about either.
- Prime Minister's speech shown by TV channels = good; Govinda's family's hospital pics shown by TV channels = not-so-good. Damn these TV channels. No sense of privacy or letting the doctors work. They'll fall to such depths for TRP and competition! Signs of progress?
- Long blog entries on independence by Mandar and Tejaswi = good; the flawed concept of nations itsef = not-so-good. The variance in sizes and effects is rather silly.
