This is brilliant, Solstice. And beautiful. And marvelous and all that, and I'm like this: :O

I love drugged!Ianto, and I love how easily he talks of difficult, complicated things, and how much the tone of this conversations contrasts with the atmosphere and it's just really, really brilliant how you made this possibly angsty topic of conversation amazing and lighthearted and gaah. Yeah, that. I don't know if I made any sense, but it makes sense in my head, trust me.

Aww! :D Thank you!

I love drugged!Ianto, too! The idea didn't occur to me until a little while in, and when it did I had to go back and implement it, because it was ridiculous and fun. I didn't think of the fact that in any other situation, this conversation would be one of those incredibly tense, heavy ones! I'm kinda glad I thought of the drugging before I got too far into it, because that would never have been as light as this turned out. ANYWAY. Thank you so much! <3

I love how you don't reveal Ianto's drugged until the end, it adds a certain charm to his actions that wouldn't have been there if we'd known up front. And bless you, cos not enough people write Flat Holm fic that's not just laden with angst, if they write it at all. You share my exact belief on why Ianto knew and Gwen didn't.

Thank you! I'm happy you liked it, and that it corresponds to your head!canon. ;D I don't think I've, like, ever read straight up Flat Holm fic; stuff that just takes place on Flat Holm and isn't part of a grander story. It sounds like something RICH with POSSIBILITIES! But I've never seen it. I must seek it out, even if most of it is impossibly emo.

I love how you managed to make what should have been a heavy, emotionally-laden moment light. Wonderfully done!

Oh man, I just read this again and I TOTES STILL LOVE IT. And even though I knew, this time, that Ianto was drugged, I still laughed hysterically at the reveal. I'm easy, obviously.

But, oh, the two of them! I just want to... make grabby hands at them. Jack and his utterly IC thoughtlessness, Ianto and his affection for Jack, even in the wake of the thoughtlessness. I mean, I know that the theme of the story is warmth, but I can utterly feel it between them. (Um, and I don't think I said this before, but I love love love the image of Ianto playing with Jack's boot. LOVE IT.)

Bedtime! But! So much grabby hands and love! ♥

Absolutely brilliant. I can imagine this scenario playing out just so; Ianto would react this way and Jack would look after him. I love how in character they are, though admittedly at first I was dubious - Ianto seemed just a little more talkative than his usual taciturn self, but when he said he thought he'd been sedated - ha! The pieces fell into place, and I saw exactly where you were going. So - perfect!

The sensory-evoking descriptions put me right there, seeing and feeling it all alongside Ianto. It was like I was there, and thank you for that. I'm sensory-oriented, so this worked beautifully for drawing me in.

In all - gorgeous writing and a wonderful fic. Thank you for this. ♥

:) Thank you so much! I'm really glad that it worked for you. I was kinda concerned at first that people would click away when Ianto started acting weird, because it just seems out of character if you don't continue reading. Thank you for continuing in spite of that!

Sweetheart, I've read enough of your fic to know to have faith and keep reading, for you never disappoint. Few other writers inspire this in me. If you write it, I will come.

You know. To read. ;-)
