Turned in my Auschwitz paper for my technical writing class this morning so that means the rest of my time at community college should consist only of auto tech classes.
Or will it?
Recently I've started batting around the idea of pursuing my teaching license. Part of this is inspired by the fact that I volunteer twice a week with a remedial middle school reading group. The munchkins really aren't that bad.
I used to chafe as an undergrad whenever anyone asked if I was going to teach...because logically the only thing for English majors to do is teach it. Now maybe I could work on cars and write about them while teaching middle school language arts???!?!?!
We'll see how this pans out. Once I finish my auto tech program, it's owencreature 's turn to go back to school. So maybe I'll work as a grease monkey for a while and then start teaching. Who knows. I sure don't.
I had dreams and goals as a kid. Now I just make shit up as I go along.
