Things that go bump in the night
I don't know what they are rightly so I try and ignore them. Last night I think the repeated plunking sound outside the apartment door was just rain. This evening though I can't tell what our water heater is doing. Hopefully it's just gremlins and not gigantic roaches. The funny thing is, for all I complain about the Underdark, we'll probably extend our lease just a little longer since picking up and moving somewhere else for a little while isn't all that exciting when you only have one friend with a truck.
Visited owencreature's relatives in Louisiana last week (as in Wednesday and a stolen Thursday I'll have to make up later). Driving all night then operating on two hours of sleep is AMAZING! Swell people though. They brought me in and fed me like one of their own. Saw New Orleans very briefly...still a lot of work to be done, but apparently the Voodoo, (local soccer team?). The banners made me giggle quite a bit.
Work was one of those days where I don't really have anything to show for what I did. They're a mixed blessing I guess. I'm tired and need to clean, but I'll mosey on over to knit night anyway. If I don't I fear I'll get apathetic again.
