the lack of publicity and the forum the author has chosen to spread this information take away a lot of its credibility. you could argue that the media has been bought out, but since when have they had any qualms about using their influence against bush?

that said, if it were quite true, i do think it would amount to treason since our government is really governed by the Constitution, or the interpretation of the Constitution at whatever given point. or if you don't accept that, the president rules in conjunction with the supreme court and congress, and so by trying to overthrow them and/or the constitution, he is trying to get rid of our ruler. =treason. it's really no different than when the military in some places tries to overthrow the government.

that said, the bit about "the military will do this" and "the military will be under his control." it's possible, but much awful stuff as we see about the military, it's not as if they are a bunch of brainless androids who obey everything. they join because they do feel a strong allegiance to the country and constitution, so i don't think they would all willingly obey orders to rip up their own country, and if the country itself were against Bush, who would join the army? and wouldn't enough people have their own stash of weapons, or be able to procure them, as to put up a fight? and would all of Bush's generals and commanders of the army accept the new chain of command? Bush is powerful but I don't think he commands the hearts and minds of the military, or the other groups whose cooperation he would need, to allow that. And the people wouldn't go gently into the night either, and would fight him every step of the way.

Discussed enough?
