I'm intrigued to notice that my running habits exhibit momentum.
If I let myself not go running for a few days it's that much harder to get out the door for the next one.
I have to go regularly run for at least 10 days to overcome this tendency towards stasis.
But If I'm in a rhythm of running regularly I CAN'T WAIT to go out again.
The problem has been staying in the rhythm.
I only spend about half the year there in any given year.
Changes in schedule such as travel, special events and illness sometimes throw off the rhythm and then I don't get back to it for months.
I need to get better at recognizing those disruptions and getting back out there running immediately after they're over.
The good news is that I'm itching to go running right now. I'm in rhythm. Go!
