I'm not late jumping onto this bandwagon, am I? *looks innocent*
Abigail comes from the movie Blade: Trinity, which is the third film in the Blade series, based on the Marvel comics of the same name.
Super-quick recap of the first two films: Blade is half-mortal man, half-vampire, due to the fact that his mother got bitten when she was pregnant with him. He kind of hates vampires for the whole turning-his-mom, making-him-a-freak thing, so he spends the better part of the first two movies killing all the vampires he can with his trusty mentor Abraham Whistler. Abraham also hates vampires because a long time ago in a galaxy far away, a vampire came to his house pretending to be a drifter, and killed his wife and daughter in front of him.
Then we fast-forward to the third movie. Blade is still killing vampires, only now, there are mortals getting in on the fun too because they think they're gonna get power through their vampires buddies, blah blah blah stupidcakes. Blade ends up getting caught by the FBI (who, of course, think the whole vampire thing is insanity), and is rescued by the ever-hot Hannibal King and - dun dun dun - Abigail Whistler, the secret daughter of Abraham. Because it's not a proper trilogy unless you've got random family members who never existed before suddenly coming out of the woodwork. *nod nod*
The movie doesn't offer a ton of information on Abigail's past, and unlike most of the characters in the trilogy, she's not comic-based - she was created purely for the movie because it didn't have enough hot girls in tight clothing otherwise. *cough* So, here's the rundown on FH!Abigail:
Abigail's mother met Abraham after he lost his family, and when Abigail was born (as an accident, oops!), they both agreed she'd be safer if no one knew about her or her mother. When Abigail reached the ripe age of 15, her mother finally told her the truth about why she had no daddy around, which made Abigail immediately decide that she needed to track Abraham down. When her mother told her that was too dangerous, she ran away from home, and eventually found her dad. She's spent the last two years with him, learning how to be a vampire hunter, and as for her mother...well, she hasn't talked to her since. Because Abigail's still young, instead of sending her off into the world now that she's had so much training, Abraham is insisting that she goes to Fandom High instead.
Abigail doesn't have any special powers, but she does have a lot of training in fighting, and also has the awesomest compound bow ever. She's not exactly happy about having to go to school, so she might not be the warmest person ever when she arrives, and she doesn't develop connections to people easily, because she's fearful of what it would do to her if her friends got hurt or killed. But, like her dad said, part of going to school is to get her used to dealing with people her own age. Also, she's really hot, and it would be a damn shame for her to not socialize. ;)
