Jungle Bunny
I got my plants. Muhahahaha. It's like a jungle in here.
The plants, total, cost about fifteen bucks at the local nursery -- pretty much exactly what they cost at the Lowe's and Home Depot, and they're FAR nicer than those were. I'll never buy plants from a hardware chain again.
I splurged on nice ceramic pots from Garden Ridge... they were on clearance, so it was a small, relatively inexpensive splurge in a limited range of colors, but meh. It was still extravagant.
In other news...
On the good side, I got the job with Borders. On the bad side, they want me to be a cashier for $6.50 an hour. Insulting.
On the good side, I am enjoying my current part-time job at the grocery photo lab. On the bad side, my manager is twenty, the full-time employee is twenty and a partier, and the other part-time person is a sociopathic con artist. What does it say about me that I can recognize such a person almost instantly? I feel old and abused by life right now.
So we're going to the bookstore, and I'm going to get a new cookbook, and life will be good.
