This is probably another odd relationship. Upon Amaterasu's arrival, the Medicine Seller already knew who and what was- though he appeared mostly intrigued by her specifically with the wolf form she has. The both can relate on a lot of things; ridding evil, traveling around, they have a lot in common that they're not aware of. It's a good thought to have that if Evil were to happen to invade, she'll possibly have him to help deal with it. also baking pumpkin pies like a boss. He was also one of the people who has helped her when she got effected by the Card of Youth, showing that he is to lend aid when she needs it, and in return of that she too will do the same for him. She especially enjoys his company, even if the two aren't exactly the 'talkative' kind, she knows that she can count on him if he were to learn anything and share the information. She hopes he knows he too can rely on her.
