Change is a shaping force. It's the high water mark of progress, and rushing tide that smooths the jagged shoreline stones. Submerged beneath the tides of change, a body might suspect the end is upon them. They may be right. My sentiment is not that we should move out of the path of the water, but that we should trust in the water to shuffle us on down the shore. They say that a fool who persists at their folly will eventually become wise, I like this axiom. Maybe wisdom comes quicker for some fools than others, but I think it's much more likely that, on a level some might call perverse, certain people (in spite of their protestations to the contrary) enjoy the folly and it's fallout.
