Asperger's Syndrome

May 23, 2006 12:37

I know a lot of people with Asperger's, and I can't recall it having ever bothered me. I'm totally fine with just stating in words the information they're lacking: "hey, she's flirting with you, you should go introduce yourself." Or, just as often, "hey, I'm flirting with you, you should acknowledge that in some way." Doesn't bug me that they haven't responded, because by then I already know about the Aspy's on some level or another. It's not like I'm subtle when I flirt.

I'm seeing another person with it, well, two people. One I had counted on, the other I sort of guessed out loud recently and am pretty certain about. I wonder if part of the reason I'm drawn to people with Asperger's is because of their lack of emotional display. Does that work well with my emotional lability?

I'm emotionally over-sensitive, and they are emotionally flat. Hm. Makes sense, as much as any of this stuff does. :)
