Onced Loved, Gone Forever
I am deeply saddended by the loss of the great
actor Peter Boyle. He died Tuesday night due to some
heart problems, I think. Either way, this thing always hits home.
He was the dad on Everybody Loves Raymond, adding such
hilarity to that show that I actually caight myself sitting down
and watching. He was the driver in The Shadow, based off the
old radio mysteries that I remember learning about in middle school.
And in my favorite role, he was Frankenstein's monster in Young
Frankenstein. I won't forget his scene with Puttin' on the Ritz.
It just sucks going every day knowing that the people you
grow up respecting will die in your life time. Robin Williams' hair
is turning gray and Mel Brooks is looking the oldest I've ever seen...
And I know I'll be sad when they pass. It's all about waiting till then, then.
