Facebook friends
I love facebook - great waste of time, and nice to be found by people you haven't seen in 25 years (or so)!!
But the problem I have, is while I would love to friend everyone I went to school with, there are different degrees of "friend". Some people I don't want to see all photos on my photo album. I would like that the type of friend I have categorised as "Family" can see everything, but the type I categorised as "went to school with" can only see what I specify. Doesn't seem to have that option. So I have to be careful about what I post. I suppose I should, anyway.
Case in point is that I have just been friended by someone I went to school with - I know the name, I can picture what he used to look like at school, but thats about it. His current photo means that if I'd gone back to my home town, and passed him in the street, I probably wouldn't have recognised him. Some are like that, wouldn't know them now, other people look almost exactly as I remember them, just older.
I wonder what they think of me. My son commented last night, bless, that "you looked so young 10 years ago, now you don't". Gee thanks. I worry about going back home and meeting people I last saw as a teenager, and what they will say. I am definately not the chicky babe I was then, but I don't think I'm ugly either! But hey, neither are they. Its just you expect to see the same person you last saw.
Also, while I Friend people from work, I do NOT friend my bosses, even though I am on friendly terms with them. It would be nice to have a professional face on Facebook, as well as a "hanging out" face - separate and never the twain shall meet - unless they want to play Scrabble with me or something!
