Gastineau Girls is on E! All I have to say is... wow. The 22 year old daughter Brittany is stunning. It doesn't get any better than a brunette with blue eyes. Her face is the only thing keeping me from changing the channel.

I'm going to see The Used March 9th. I'm all kinds of excited. Especially since I don't have to pay. Lots of feelings about Lana mixed up in that band. I got her into them and now she adores them. "Blue and Yellow" was the first of many songs that we considered 'ours'. I debated going to the show or not. I was afraid I'd be so busy thinking about our history that I wouldn't be able to enjoy it. But I threw the CD into my discman yesterday and made it all the way through. No tears. No stomach ache. No more anxiety: I'm going.

The last week has been refreshingly busy. I dropped my math class when a screenwriting one opened up. This is going to be lots of work. My Production I class meets Thursday nights for three hours and Saturday afternoons for five hours. I heard the screenwriting class is extremely challenging. Add to that my writing intensive Vietnam in Film & Lit class and Geology and that's enough to fill up my days. The Production class alone is 6 credit hours.

My step-mom came up today to help me figure out my goals, what I want to do, and how I'm going to get there. She shared a bunch of info on internships and gave me the name of the guy at Columbia to talk to about more. All the ones through the school are paid, which is great. She also got me a meeting with the guy that heads up the film department here. It's a great feeling to know that your dreams are tangible. There's that point where your head is allowed out of the clouds and you see that all of it is a reality. I can do this. My battle plan has me in school for another two years and then bound for northern California.

I also signed a contract for my first acting job today. Nothing major. I mean, it's a big part but I'm basically doing it for free. It's the first feature from a guy that's been doing short films for the last five or six years. It's a really, really, really dark comedy about a priest who's fighting an old man that thinks he's found the antichrist. Guess who plays the suspected antichrist??? We start shooting in April. I'm totally into this. The script was really bizarre and different. Shades of Tim Burton and Oliver Stone. I think it's going to be great. And hopefully the first of many.

No money means no food. I had peanut butter for all three major meals yesterday. Dani and I went looking for jobs but I didn't fill out one application. Everyone wants resume first. I have to see what, if any, internships I qualify for right now.

The Boy Meets World marathon was on ABC Family today. Hard to be upset about anything when that's the case.

Oh man, I forgot... the library here at Columbia. That alone was worth coming back for! I used to blow off all of my gen ed classes to sit in there. I'd get through two or three books a day. It felt awesome to come back and know right where everything was.

This is home.
