Rest in God

I am sitting on a bus en route to Minnesota for thanksgiving break! Bella is sleeping behind me, Jeff and Joan are at the back of the bus and Karen and Eric in front. What a motley crew of people I'm excited to spend time with them.
It's been 1.5 hours. I spent the first hour sleeping and 1/2 hour reading 1 Corinthians 1-2. How glorious to be able to be enclosed within a space to spend time resting and finding rest in God. I've been battling a cough for ages now(4 weeks now?) and yesterday the doctor diagnosed me with bronchitis - I'm on antibiotics now and it's really effective I feel so much better already!
1 Corinthians 1-2 was a lovely passage speaking about how it is not through eloquent speech and wisdom that we should share the gospel...and the only thing we should boast in is in our Lord! And Paul also speaks of the Holy Spirit who knows the thoughts of God and will impart wisdom to us to discern the things that God has FREELY given us:) what solid assurance:)
Btw, I get to see john piper this Sunday, and hopefully hear him speak too( and get a picture?) haha no I'm not idol worshipping him...
Alright back to my bus ride of solitude...gotta pick up my sketch books and draw something. (it's for art class I'm not so atas )
Oh, and heres a self portrait I drew for art: my professor liked it muchly I put it up on my wall with Phil 4:13:)
