So, had a lovely couple of days ending half term - with the added bonus that my birthday on the 24th was also a day off for me. My school do something called a Joker Day which means, due to all the extra work I have to do I can have a day off during term time once a school year. I've used mine now but it was worth it. Who wants to go back to school on a monday after half term on their birthday as well?
So, I used it and did very little. The parents came over and I made dinner and I played video games and wrote more for
Tales from the Pensieve and put up a new
rt_snapshots I'm really excited for
Tales from the Pensieve at the moment - it's all very exciting stuff because I remember wanting to write this story so long ago but feared I didn't have the maturity or enough knowledge to get the details right, so I just want to make it the best I can. I plan at the moment to only do 13 chapters and I'm already working on Chapter 5...
For those who don't know about
Tales from the Pensieve, it's about the fall of the First War and the main events leading up to it. It's become surprisingly very Peter centric (and as always with my very Remus centric) but I've tried to incorporated a lot of the Order members we don't met and only hear about from Hagrid or Mad Eye and how these wonderful witches and wizards make an impact on our marauding friends...if they do at all.
And speaking of fandom - apart from the fact I'm doing all this stuff I'm still working on my novel and doing things for lessons with the children I teach so I don't know how much time I will have to update (I say this and I'll still update everyday - but it's just a heads up) - I found this which I think might interest some of you!
This is the beautiful thing I discovered yesterday - Molotov Jukebox. Natalie Tena's alternative rock/accordion/violin band. Her voice is beautiful and this is one of her songs with them. I also chose the one where Nat is the most colourful for Tonks purposes. :D
