THE PERFECT TIME TO PANIC.

Jan 09, 2011 12:11

Well, not panic per say.

Top things I haven't mentioned and feel I should elaborate on as promised:

1. I'm back to normal, mostly. I still had an achy gum thing on the right hand side of my mouth, but in comparison to not being able to eat solids I feel a lot better.

2. Though I promised myself I'd not stress this year, hah - I've already stressed out enough to cause me to not sleep. I hate hand in time! It sucks. Why do tutors think it's such a GREAT idea to put two MASSIVE hand ins about 5 days apart? I know we had two weeks at Christmas, but they do understand it's a holiday yes?

I think my tutor John needs to be poked in the eye and reminded we have lives, as much as I love him so.

3. Christmas was very good. I was supposed to write up a whole thing about Christmas, but it's too long away now but it was very good fun.
I received the following:
- How To Train Your Dragon - DVD
- Toy Story 3 - DVD
-  The Witches on DVD
- 500 Days of Summer DVD
- Hook DVD
- Muppets Christmas Carol DVD the last four, curtsey of my working little bro.
- Hufflepuff Patch from Dan! (YAYYYY)
- The Art of Toy Story 3
- File Fax Organizer (swishy swishy)
- Disney Trivial Pursuit. (I've won the three times we've played. I rock, kay?)
- 2 new sets of boots. One being hard wearing brown swede and the other being really party boot-heel things. I can talk to my boyfriend face to face. It's awesome!
- Trying describe it is difficult, but I think you'll get the gist if I say: American style aviator  jacket (I look like I'm about to go to Paradise Falls. And Tonks should so have one. Sexy stuff.)
- A beautiful necklace from Jamie (Tis very pretty!)
- Sticky notes set! Very Pretty!

and last but not least....
- A beautiful leather book to write in

Now, out of all the presents I got, being that I knew I was getting the DVD's and trivial pursuit, completely threw me off. I picked up the leather back journal, blinked and then actually burst into tears.

My parents didn't actually know what to do with me, and it was rather amusing. I guess it was because it was nice to know that they knew I liked writing? That they paid attention? I don't know, either way. I was a soppy mess.

It was pretty amusing to watch my parents get there presents. I knew what they were for both of them, my dad bought my mum a bathrobe that she wanted, and mum had got my dad a day out at a racing track driving 4 different sports cars. In case you haven't realized yet, my dad lovesssss cars.

My 44 year old father sobbed like a baby. I knew I got my sentimental thing from somewhere, and I got the feeling it wasn't just mum.

My brother did well, he always does, PS3 games and designer clothes. We all ended up watching How To Train Your Dragon with my nan whilst my dad got drunk cooking the turkey. The Lowden Tradition. =D

I think it's time to go to the next number as Christmas itself seems pretty summed up  ^___^

4. Hmm, well between Christmas and the 28th I spent it eagerly awaiting Jamie, as he was coming down to visit until New Year and then we'd be back to Bristol. If you read my previous post you would have discovered nothing went according to plan. I got a gum infection so I spent more of my time in agony, but still playing as good a host as possible until the pain really got too much. My family seem to really like Jamie though.

My dad and my boyfriend bonded over Disney Trivial Pursuit. I kid you not, and over the Rescuers no less!

'What is the name of the sidekick of Madam Medusa in the Rescuers?'
Me : I'm stumped. I've not seen it in YEARS.
Jamie: I know it I know it...I....*repeats lines of the Rescuers out loud, but unable to pin down the name of the sidekick*

My dad then propoe of nothing stood up and roared:  'SNOOOOOOOOOOOPS!'

Jamie did the same thing. I think it was a match made in heaven. I died of laughter because we got it right. 10 points to dad =DDDD

5. New Year.

I didn't actually last New Year. It was quite funny really, I got back to my Bristol home with Jamie in toe, sick and barely functioning when I got a message from a friend. "Did you see my message on facebook?" I had promised a good friend of mine she could stay at mine for the party I was planning to go to for New Years Eve. Despite my weakened state, I had promised, so she was over, and I was still playing host as best as I possibly could. Jamie pretty much ran around like a headless chicken.

I did feel a little better, as that day, before my friend arrived I got to go to an emergency dentist and put on some horrible antibiotics, so I was barely there at all.

As for the party, We dressed up in our glad rags. Well, I tried to make Jamie look like Carl, and I went in my new jacket and boots in an Ellie esque fashion, I just wanted to see my friends on new Year. Was that so bad? Apparently it was. I was literally there for like....10 minutes before knowing I couldn't stay. I made sure my friend knew how to get home and when I got back with Jamie in a taxi, I literally keeled over into bed.

Then Jamie did the cutest thing ever.

'Do you want me to read to you?'

I blinked, and mumbled. 'Azkaban?'

I got through half the first chapter before I was out of the count. Even JK Rowling couldn't keep me awake for New Year. I was woken up at New Year to be told there were fireworks and lanterns, but I really couldn't move. I was so out of it I barely remember being kissed and going back to sleep. But I don't think I'll ever forget being read Harry Potter at the close of 2010 XD

6. 2011 - Pain. more pain, and a lot of pain for another 5 days, but after that, I'm okay! I mean, I can talk and eat now. We tested this with a Diam Bar. (Which I always thought that's what Honeyduke's chocolate always tasted like and I could eat it fine.

7. The future? Well, I've finished my hand in so I just need to print and bind it, the next stage?  Animating. Terrifying much? Very. The final deadline is May 13th 2011 which is both close, and far away. I'm just pleased I have lots of support behind me in the animation stage.

I want to write more, so I want you guys to give me prompts for fan fics and fan art and I might even write a few original pieces for my characters Dakota and Elliot.

Jamie and I plan to collab on an animation idea - and just fun doodles and fan art so yeah? That's it at the moment, a sum up of the past 3 weeks really =)

I hope everyone is well, and enjoyed their Christmas, now to see if I can colour my meta piece.
