Life, Chalion & Animation!
Well, an update on life seems in order.
I'm in my new house now, I'm currently living in this charming student house, and I'll put up a photo or two once I find my connector. I'm living with three boys, all of which are childish at heart, work-aholics in the head, and fun to be around. (I will not go as far as a marauder comparison, but Dan certianlly reminds me of Remus in spirit, Remus with a crazy afro, but I digress)
I'm reading Chalion again, and it's just, wonderful to do. Well, in reading I'm listening to the audio book I bought after buying the book, and it will forever be my favourite. Though I was happy Dan gave me back The Time Travellers Wife, which I should read again too, at some point...

On another note, living with these three guys gives me the opportunity to work, now those who don't know, I'm an animator, and this year we're making our final films so we need stories - a three minute film at that.
So be prepared for predictability on my end, but my story - that is yet to develop - inspired by Up, Chalion & Harry Potter and even more fumbled, and talking about things that I enjoy reading - tortured characters who take it in their stride, the fantastic and the gothic, love and mutual support in the face of danger and status childhood sweethearts and a sense of imagination,
I've started to put all these things into things together for this idea: A little mild mannered girl makes friends with a grungy, dirty werewolf boy of the same age who's got more to him than meets the eye.
So so far that's the plan, and my story-making companions really liked the idea. It's not an ordinary film plot, and not an ordinary animation point, and I could make it as deep or as fun as I want depending on how heavy I want the story to be.
Needless to say, I'm excited for third year, BRING IT ON. I'm sure I'll also show you that progression when it turns up.
I also go home this weekend for my dad's birthday on Monday. Mum rang yesterday and mentioned he's had a really bad/sad week, so I'm hoping turning up tonight at his work with my suitcase will make him grin like an idiot and give me a big hug. I hope I can help cheer him up.
