Uhg. Being sick sucks. I had a cold spring up on me out of nowhere on Monday, like a freakin' ninja, got out of my second class early so I dashed home to take some meds before dashing back for the third class. It took forever for the medicine to kick in, but once it did I was good. Tuesday and Wednesday passed with no sign of the cold. So I figured it was just a one day thing. Yesterday afternoon though it came back with a vengeance and I went through almost a box of tissues at work. I even had to ask to leave early and skipped out right as we closed the doors. Came home, took some medicine, played Pokemon Diamond while waiting for it to kick in so that I could sleep, but it never really did so I finally just crashed knowing I'd have to wake up to blow my nose every ten minutes :P
I'm feeling a bit better today, but my ears are doing that annoying popping thing. And I have like, no appetite but gotta force myself so that I have some fuel to run off of. I wanna just stay home and snooze and watch TV but, gotta get to work and try and get more homework done. All of my classes have tests coming up, so on top of the regular weekly reading I gotta be studying.
I volunteered to help out with Inventory at work next week, which will happen from 10pm to 3am whoo! I was expecting to get the day after off because of that, but no, they still scheduled me, so I may try and get someone to take that shift because I needs a day off. Although most likely it will have to be spent running errands, studying, taking tests in the testing center, cleaning house and that jazz. Bah.
I'd like a holiday, just one day to be lazy and watch movies or whatever. Only two more months til Thanksgiving break. During which I'll probably get assigned a lot of homework because professors seem to think days off of school = more time to do homework for you! And they ALL think that. But, in any case, I'm planning to go up to Utah to see my dad over the Thanksgiving holiday. Josh and I will drive up and back, just doing a crazy straight drive run with no hotel stop because it's going to save a LOT of money. And that way we'll have his car for any jaunting about we wish to do. I don't really know if I'll have time to see friends as I'll only be there for like three or four days (driving will take up at least two of the break) and I know everyone wants to be with their families for the holiday and has plans and all. And the other reason I'm going up there besides seeing my dad is to clean up a lot of my stuff there and throw away old junk, maybe box and ship other stuff. That kind of thing. I might try and arrange a lunch at Yamato's on Saturday just because it would be nice to see friends when I'm in the area, but we shall have to see.
Well, I'm going to go try and survive at work today and hope I have the energy to do some homework when I get off. Ciao!
