Han and Leia's apartment- Coruscant- Wednesday night
Jaina was back from Fandom for a few days before her parents and Allana got back home, so Jaina went to their apartment for dinner that night. Allana was all too happy to tell Jaina all about their trip, which had apparently been a spur of the moment thing to figure out the history of the Falcon, and had- according to her, involved volcanoes and kidnapping.
The kidnapping Jaina totally believed without question, but the whole 'being on a dying planet' thing she found suspect.
Once Allana had been put to bed, leaving the three elder Solos around the table, Jaina asked, "So how much of that actually happened?"
"All of it," Han said. "Girl's go an imagination, but she didn't need to use it here."
"Rogue Jedi and all?"
"Unfortunately, yes," Leia sighed. "I can't say I don't appreciate him rescuing Allana, but things got out of control fast."
"And then Allana started screaming about him reminding her of Jacen, which didn't put him on our list of favorite people," Han added.
Han and Leia both fell into an uncomfortable silence, like they weren't sure whether or not that was something they could say in front of Jaina, but she was past getting upset talking about Jacen. "Poor kid," she said neutrally. "I mean, it's not exactly fair, getting in trouble for trying to help you guys out-"
"He did kill a few people to do it," Han pointed out.
"-even if he killed a few people to do it," Jaina added. "But you could talk to Uncle Luke..."
"I offered," said Leia. "He said Luke wouldn't understand and disabled the intelligence agents before using the Force in ways he shouldn't have been able to."
"Huh," Jaina said after a long pause.
"Right answer," Han said. "The Jedi know about it. They'll handle it."
"How was the trip to Fandom?" Leia wondered.
"Short," Jaina replied. "Though this year's graduates did get attacked by ladybugs and garden gnomes."
Han shook his head. "It's good to know that no matter how weird our trips might get, yours will always be weirder."
"Thanks, Dad."
