Tyki surprisingly has a large amount of Noah pride. More than expected truly. For a man who arbitrarily dubs some family as wannabees, used to take great joy in mocking the Countess, and generally seems to have no concern for anyone but himself, he finds the ideas of traitors to the family irritate him. And not in that that slight way either. Anger may be a better term for it, but there is really no better way to put him a sour mood than to be a Noah of any kind and then proclaim yourself not part of the family. Members that have resemblance to his own family just make the cut more deeper.
He did some spend some time trying to rationalize it. Instead of talking to other Noah as the subject seems rather sour at the moment (and he wasn't going to talk to the traitors themselves), he took it upon himself to bother Exorcists. Not really the smartest idea, but he's not known for his brains. From
case_card he got the disdain he knew would be present. The man doesn't like Noah, doesn't blame him for it, but something just doesn't sit right. The man enjoys being an Exorcist. Prefers it even. He himself enjoys being a Noah and like his Exorcist counterpart takes pleasure in it. This is fine and dandy, and he has no qualms over the matter. He couldn't imagine himself and Exorcist or the other a Noah. This was the natural order to the world. The second person he talked to was Allison. Sort of a round about way of talking about her soon to be husband, Mikk, as they two Tykis probably couldn't hold down a serious conversation. He surprisingly gained a bit of respect for the man even if he didn't show it. He decided on a side and stuck with it. Is happy with it. In the end, that's all the matters, really. Being happy with what one is. Right? Wanting more surely, but not being sour about one's current lot in life.
Which doubles back to the two know traitors, Devit and Miranda. Devit irritates him because it is Devit. Devit is supposed to be a Noah and shouldn't be having all these thoughts about traitorism, but he isn't concerned quite yet. He believe Jasdero, the better half, is going to set it right. Just give the man some time. When the man comes back to the fold (which he foolishly believes) there will be a period of humiliation for Devit just for the trouble he caused. The Countess will get over it. He's sure of that. Now if the man would just stop acting foolish. For Miranda, it is something different. Not supposed to being a Noah and then rejecting is a slap in the face of good Noah everywhere. And good is a very loose term. The subject around her brings out just rage. A sort of 'how dare anyone make such a decision' more than anything else. And while he's still pretending he doesn't understand why this bothers him so, it really comes down to a single point.
He really does love and respect the Noah family.
His own will always be idolized and rose colored until the day he dies, but the Noah he normally hangs out with (Road, Cardio, Countess, Marred, Alex to an odd degree, and others) makes it feel like better times. Not like old times as that part of his life is closed, but good times. Times worth remembering. Times worth having and keeping. So, when someone tries to trample on that he does take offense. Being a Noah is a privilege, a joy, and everyone better damn well enjoy it. It isn't some switch that can be turned on and off. It's a way of life. A path in itself. And who would want to turn it off anyway!
While he's never been a neutral party in the DR, he has been one to ignore the other side or just run with it being the fact that it is the DR. But as these traitors keep coming to light, it continues to push him more toward the Noah side even more than his own. As if he would put on hold some of his own personal ambitions just to ensure that the family in this place stayed intact. Now this is something that he has never felt up to this point. But it doesn't worry him in the least. He even feels somewhat obligated to assist in the correction of the wayward lambs. In correction, he means execution. He doesn't believe in second chances. Especially in his mind when he thinks the choice is so obvious.
A side effect of this whole ordeal is that he finally gets Akuma. Maybe not what the Boss intended, but he's got his own warped version. He always used to hate the creatures. Ugly. Slow. Dumb. Useless. When you've got Noah, why deprive them of the fun? He's finally come to the conclusion that they are for protection. Sure, a Noah can kill almost anything. But that is almost. Not absolute. Just as the Noah are there to guard the Boss, the Akuma are there in turn to guard the Noah. Provide canon fodder and strategic pawns so that they can win the fight and maximize the enjoyment of it. And when he looks at it that way, the Akuma seem a little less hated. But still ugly in his opinion.
