"Dero would like to do something nice for Devit. Heee!"

Of course he would. When didn't he? The world would seem such an upside down place if one of the two wasn't searching for or asking about the other. But that was how the conversation had started. He was trying to take a nap. The other, now a she and he really, really tried not to think to hard about it, was chasing lizards on the rocks. They made good snacks for his giant pet bird. Or so had Tyki told him so that he could preoccupy himself with resting.

And so when Jasdero came over with skewered lizard on the end of Mugen looking at him with wide eyes and a grin, Tyki internally cursed himself. If it wasn't Road giving him that look it was someone else, wasn't it?

"My, my, I think we can come up with something."

"Heee! Does Dero look pretty!?"

"Yes, yes, quite, now stand still. You are going to get that everywhere."

The hairstyle had been approved by Cyril. Mugen and any other signs of Exorcist affiliation were left at home of course. Wouldn't want a scuffle to start out, but it hardly took any convincing. Cyril had the task done in an hour or two. Many tablecloths now showing nothing but numbers written on them were sacrificed, but they could be replaced. It was curly, full, and silky. Tyki honestly didn't think those three words word go together in a sentence. Let alone on Jasdero's head.

Road supplied the makeup, ribbons and jewelry. To her credit, in the end, they all matched. But she was quite irritated that Tyki wouldn't let her see the dress it was to match. Complaining that she could only pick the very best pieces with that piece of information. He assured her it was currently being cleaned. Which, of course, was a lie.

He let Jasdero set up the room while he went to 'purchase' the dress. There was only one shop in this place that he knew of, and it was run by Cross no less. He wasn't going to take the blonde with him, and he sure as hell wasn't going to ask Road to accompany him. Besides, he wanted to ensure the mental image of this article of clothing and Jasdero never crossed.

"I can't believe you actually are helping me carry books down here."

"I said I was going to help, didn't I? Think I was lying?"

"Well... yeah."

When they reached the room Tyki simply let the books drop onto the ground before opening the door for the other. Devit should have noticed something was up when Tyki made the act of not looking into the room quite obvious. But any thoughts Devit might have had was interrupted by a screeching cry of DEEVVVVVVVVVIIIT to which the one mentioned turned the color of a tomato. Tyki put both hands on Devit's shoulders as the young apprentice spluttered out nothing comprehensible and looked at him incredulously. Tyki gave him a shove forward into the room.

"Come now, I'm just assuring they keep that spot in hell for me nice and warm. Hate to do things only half way. ... Enjoy yourself."

And payback for having to suffer through their escapades in the Memory Hall. But that was neither here nor there, wasn't it?
