Stuff I learned this week:
- finally figured out that you can change your zoom background. Hey, I've only had one zoom session so far, tinkering with the interface has not been a priority. But now I have a choice of cherry blossoms in Shinjuku gyoen, Harajuku crepes, and Utsukushima jinja. I'm pleased.
- found out that 'gay panic' isn't someone panicking that they might be gay, but a horrible legal defense which still works in various US states which lets you say you killed a guy because you found out he was gay and you panicked, and you get a lighter sentence. WTFF.
- duolingo tells me that the Mandarin for 'brown' is '咖啡色 - kāfēisè' - coffee coloured. Which is funny because in Japanese it's '茶色 - chairo' - tea coloured.
"Well, where is he?" Jiang Cheng is flexing the hand with Zidian.
How would Wei Wuxian know? "Why are you asking me?"
"Because he's gone, and so's Fairy and his horse, and---" Jiang Cheng makes an impatient gesture at the world. "If he's not with you, where else would he be?"
"Why on earth would he be with me? How'd he even know where I am? I don't write to him and never get a reply."
A weird shadow smoothes out Jiang Cheng's frown, just for a moment. "Well," he says petulantly, "he's gone."
"Well," Wei Wuxian says. "You want an apple?"
