I've been to Tenerife once. This Island is the biggest and it's very popular for Russian tourists.
Gran Canaria is not so big. And I love this Island, because I have so many amazing memories from my childhood. Last time I was there in 2005 and first in 1993 xD
So my info can be old and I’m not sure what is interesting for you in particular.
We usually rent a car in airport there and just drive around.
The historical places.
They have the home-museum of Christopher Columbus in Las Palmas.
The main Cathedral in Las Palmas also.
The museum about native population of this island: the aborigines. It’s very interesting, the mummy and the way they lived.
The plantation in Arukas (I think there). They have very hard time, when people have nothing to eat and the Marquesa gave to people the bananas from her plantation to feed them. They have a botanic garden in Arukas.
Also Teror. Every Sunday they have a market, where the nuns sell a lot of cookies and pastries, ( I love with coconut). Just very big market there and the church La Madonna Negra.
Also in Mogan- very cute port with yachts.
They have a lot of thematic parks, like the parks with parrot Palmitos Park, or the park with different crocodiles, the park with different cactuses. In Maspalomas you can have a camel xD
They have park: Mundo Aborigen, It’s also the thematic park that looks exactly like ancient village of the aborigines. It very interesting, the stone houses, you can see how they lived and their routines. In Maspalomas.
Also the park: Sioux City. - It looks like a cowboy village of the 19 century. The streets, the houses, saloon and every day they make a show there.
The beaches are wonderful and they have different places. Like Playa del Ingles is the most popular for the tourists, with lots of shops and restaurants. They have the beach with white sand Playa Amadores (not sure with the name) A lot of shopping center, Faro is with brands shops, Faro 2 with nice Chinese restaurants. They have lots of Chinese restaurants in different places and also Café Mozart with pastries. And Cafe de Paris. (I hope they are still open)
Yumbo shopping center have restaurants with live music in the evening and lots of electronica shops and one floor full of gay lesbians bars (always relevant XDXDXD I was 13 when I saw how two bald guys in bright orange t-shirt French kissed each other O_O)
Also the CITI the shopping center with lot leather and gold shops and in the evening they have a show with transvestites.
They have amazing club, where all the actors are the transvestites and I forget how calls this place, but you know they are so beautiful. My dad was so shocked, when he was buying the tickets for shop he flirted with a beautiful tall woman and when he understand she is not a woman XDXDXDXDXDXD
Casino with amazing show in the evening, like variete and the beautiful Spanish dances, like flamenco.
I hope you will find it useful, I will try to remember something else. xD wasn’t sure what you will find interesting so I wrote everything XDXDXD
And Holliday park with attractions and clowns and big wheel. And Aquapark.
