- deconstruct four chapters of almost-finished epic
- email jo_lasalle with deconstruction, get her to hate me with stabbity eyes of hate
- get her to unhate me so we can discuss Tokyo flights
- book Tokyo flights
- look

April is just too cold for sleeping in Ueno Park.

Seriously though, look into hostels in Tokyo. Not only are they a quarter of the price (usually around 2000Y/night) they are all very clean and most are located close to major train stations. The ones I've stayed in were immaculate to boot.

We did look into hostels; briefly. But my travel companion is very concerned that we should have our own bathroom, and I'm... happy enough with the idea of my own bathroom not to be putting up too much of a fight there.

We finally found something for around 3300 yen pppn, right in Shibuya, which seems like a reasonable compromise between 'luxury' and affordability.
