anyways, one of the main reasons i haven't drunk yet is that i'm worried i'm a total light weight and will get all loopy after a few sips 8|. my friend is a real lightweight, a glass makes her pretty hyper XD
You know, I really don't think anyone has to drink. But if you're curious, and don't know how you'd react, I'd recommend trying it when someone's around that you trust and who'll stay sober. And actually making that kind of deal! (I've never smoked pot, but if I ever did, that's how I'd arrange it.) And taking it easy.
i don't have to, but i'm not against the idea either. i feel like i probably will end up trying it someday given...social situations, and the fact that apparently one glass (of an alcoholic drink) a day is healthier for women than no alcohol/excessive alcohol. AND apparently red wine somehow helps with language memory or something....... #priorities
pot though, i wouldn't do XD. i hate the smell and anything related to smoking quite frankly >>;;.
Yeah, fair points all. :-) Sorry, don't mean to sound so afternoon-special-y. Only for years and years (before I met Solo... only not... only... kind of...) I actually was the non-drinker at every party, and I was always glad if nobody thought that was in any way weird.
I hate cigarettes something fierce. And I'm not desperate for pot or anything, but I think these days if opportunity presented itself and I was in the right sort of company, I wouldn't necessarily turn it down anymore... (But I'm such a pot virgin that I honestly can't recognise it from the smell.)
Charles-Henry is my pig. He is originally named Karl-Heinz, being a German pig, but when he lived in Aberdeen he grew really fond of his English name, so it stuck. (Solo thinks he should change his name to buta-chan, though; she doesn't like English pigs much! *sigh*)
Um, I think this has been replied to at great length. ;D
But yeah, tolerance totally increases. The sad part is that this means it gets more expensive if you want to get just a little bit tipsy. >_>
And on top of all the other good advice you got above, let me just add that mixing different kinds of drinks gets you drunk (not nicely tipsy, but drunk) very fast, and leads to horrendous hangovers. To be avoided.
random question on alcohol; are personal tolerance levels kind of set in stone, or will the level increase if you drink more :o...?
