2003.10 KAT-TUN 1st in New York Photobook: Akanishi Jin
resha_hime did translations for
Kame and
Ueda. She said she wasn't going to do any others, so I tried my hand at Jin. I'm afraid I'm lazy, so I didn't type out the kana/kanji and romaji versions like
resha_hime did. You can see the full Japanese text by clicking the images below for higher-res versions.
(Or not, since photobucket insisted on resizing the first pic.

Kame references Sakamoto, too. Guess they've been reading their history books together. :-)**** The reading is おばけ - obake - and could mean either, but I think the more common translation is 'monsters', and 幽霊 (ゆうれい) - yuurei - is more common for ghost.
Comments on other KAT-TUN members
About Kamenashi: With him I have a relationship which is motivating in the good sense. To be upfront about it, I can't lose. :-) But when it comes to being the most spoiled character, I let him have first place.* We have a good private relationship, but I think it's good to be able to switch neatly over between private and work. During work time, we can talk properly about work, and by contrast, in private we don't mention work even once. But once in a while, for some reason he bursts out with stuff I just don't understand. :-) Those times, I view him as a 'rampage-kun' and leave him alone.*
About Taguchi: You know, at times when KAT-TUN go wild and Kame is noisy, Koki is noisy, I'm noisy, Nakamaru is... noisy, right?* :-) In the middle of all that, Ueda and Taguchi alone create a space for reflection. Particularly Taguchi is such a being. See, isn't Ueda kind of 'own way'? :-) Taguchi and I also discuss things unexpectedly, and being together is calming. Moreover, Taguchi is also amazingly intelligent. When we're all playing cards or such, it seems to take all of KAT-TUN to beat him. :-) Because his puns are too boring, at those times I also like the moments when he breaks the mood and has to laugh.
About Koki: Koki really likes rap, ne? Because he constantly keeps on muttering, it's pretty annoying to be with him all the time. :-) But I like his kindness, which he sometimes shows unexpectedly. Because we've worked together smoothly before, it's unnecessary, but I think this side of him is very sweet. He totally pretends to be tough, but no matter what, his gentle side always comes out.
About Ueda: He's a person who really goes his own way, ne? I've tried to chain him down uncountable times, but he uses some escapology trick. :-) But since the nature of his basic personality is never changing, recently I'm thinking, 'oh well, guess it's okay.' I also like that he isn't two-faced. In both the good sense and the bad sense, I think he's like a kid. Weeell, I guess that's the pot calling the kettle black. :-) Once you realize that, and also that he will never change his opinions, I think he resembles me.
About Nakamaru: He isn't all that 20-year-old (=adult). There's times when I want to say to him 'you're not a tiny child any more, so...' :-) But that's cute. He's got a good personality, and he listens to the views of the people around him, and then by contrast I think that he is amazingly adult. I usually just can't express it in words, but I respect him. So much that I want to worship his decorated photo every morning. :-)
* Many thanks to
majuko and
hopelessheartz for putting me on the right track with these!
I realized with horror earlier this morning that it's already Friday, and the end of July, and on 3 August (OMG Monday) we're off to Copenhagen and maybe I should do some laundry, and some ironing, and some, uh... thinking about being organized, and I still need to finish the CTKT transcheck and
k_julia and I are in the middle of a slightly, uh, tense chapter, and argh. They assure me that there will be wireless in the former mental hospital cheap airport hotel where we're staying because we can't afford the 4-star Radisson where the actual conference is. I have no idea how much the wireless will cost but I Will Get It. Aside from that... anybody live in Copenhagen and know of free wifi hotspots? I'll take MacDonalds if I have to.
Sometimes I think I haven't changed from when I was seven. Then, you could park me anywhere if you just gave me a book and some nice music. Now, it's wifi and my mp3 player. How boring.
