Awakening [Complete]

Content: Firellia awakes to her new existance.
Setting: Library sleeping room

It was an odd feeling, to wake up for the first time in your life.
Firellia was just glad she'd woken up, though. But not so glad that she was still in this city of red light. And even less happy that she was physical.
She'd been lying awake for a while, listening to people coming and going in the hallways outside the room she'd been placed in. It was obviously a place designated for sleeping, based on what she'd read about physical worlds. It was oddly run down for a place people lived in, and there were no real beds or anything like that. But it was a sleeping room nonetheless.
Firellia had been hunting through her memory trying to remember everything that she had ever learned about physical life. Things like hunger and the need to eat, which, judging from the strange empty feeling in the pit of her stomach and the way it was gurgling, she was feeling.
Ah well, I suppose I should do something about that, thought Firellia as she hoisted herself to her feet and left the sleeping room.
