Tyr was thoughtful for a moment before moving right up to the hole. He took a careful breath, trying to pick out any distinct scents, but wary of the poisonous gases that could sometimes build up in sealed rooms. He moved to look inside then, trying to shield his eye from Hex's light to see if he could spot anything.
"I can't detect anything." Tyr stated, stepping back. "I believe it is as you say. If there was anything living in there it is gone now." Taking in the appearance of the whole wall he observed. "It appears that this section of the wall was originally open as well, so this is an ideal place to reopen the room without taking any structural risks."
Nodding in agreement to Hex's decisive comment he dropped his hand down to his belt and the waiting staff. A push of a button had it extended once again and he jammed one end into the hole in the wall, the old stone crumbling to allow the forced entry. He left a fair amount extended from the hole for leverage and grasped the far end.
"I think this will work well to get us started. If you grab here," Tyr indicated a spot a few inches down from his hold, "And we push to the right, a large section should break off and create a hole that we can enlarge for our passage."
