Wimzle swam underneath a school of squids and then propelled itself in a vertical sprint, zooming upwards with its mouth open wide, catching terrified squids as it went through the cloud. It seemed, however, that as Wimzle had been shooting upward through the water, a birdy had been diving down through the air, its eyes also on the squids. As Wimzle broke the surface of the water and shot into the air with a huge surge of water, the bird let out a horrified shriek and swerved in the air. Wimzle saw it and snapped its jaws excitedly, trying to catch the birdy before gravity caught up with the shark body and pulled it back down into the water.

It missed and the bird took off rapidly, making an angry racket as it went. Wimzle again came crashing up out of the water, this time in its regular form and laughing maniacally as it sped after the bird. Wimzle spun and twirled in the air, laughing with abandon as it followed the bird back in the direction of land. The bird was shrieking quite loudly by then and, when they were a few yards out from the piers, several more birdies appeared in the air, looking as though they intended to come play too.

Wimzle giggled loudly, clapping its hands and then a moment later six birds, including the one he had been chasing, suddenly slammed into him and started pecking and biting and scratching like crows attacking a raptor. Talons and beaks tore into Wimzles soft body and it let out a scream, curling and waving its arms to defend itself. "NO NO! STOP IT!" Wimzle shrieked.
