"Hello World." The voice which spoke those words was a digital monotone, in the lower register of the human vocal spectrum, usually identified with as masculine.
The little robot then ran a quick diagnostic of internal functionality and external surroundings. It found access to several new functions, new hard-drives and RAM, networking capabilities. Even new hardware. A junction port containing a small round electrical energy source.
Surroundings were the workroom in the base. And Sierra. Creator. Mother. Home, family, charging station. All was as it should be.
