Fishes? [Closed]

Content: The inexperienced go fishing and play on the beach
Setting: The beach west of the library

Micas lead their small band towards the water at first, once they had scrounged up some metal poles, wire, and cord from the closets of the library. Nei'ess had no particular idea if those things would suit their needs or how they would be put to use, but they would figure something out and there were still places to scavenge closer to the beach itself.
Granted, it was not much of a beach. The water had carved a steep cliff unlike anything Nei'ess had ever seen before, with only a thin strand of sand at its base. Once they were close and Micas seemed a bit confounded by the unexpected cliff, Nei'ess referenced his memory and took over leading. There was a set of steps carved into the stone and finished with concrete and old wood. The wooden parts were not trustworthy but those were only down near the last bit of sand and it was not too difficult to climb the last bit down.
Nei'ess could only stare for a moment. There was something different about seeing something with his magic and seeing it in person, rather like the way he could see through clothes was different from someone actually being naked. That was so much water, there was sand in his sandals, and a wind blew at them off the towering waves. He'd never been near anything like this and the strange smells on the air meant nothing to him. He waited for someone to tell him what to do, though he could see the fish out there beneath the dark and choppy waters.
