The baby baby-sits [complete]

Content: Simera wakes up from her nap to find the library mostly empty
Setting: Library
Warnings: Lots of sleep deprivation.
Simera woke to find the library very quiet indeed. It was only particularly loud when Rory was fighting with someone, but there was usually more comings and goings than just at this moment. She sat up in her bed pile and rubbed her eyes, looking around. Micas was no longer in the courtyard and the new animal skins were hung in a tree, no signs of preparation in place. It seemed odd to her that Micas would have left the job unfinished, or moreso, not even started. She crawled out of the bed pile and walked through the hole in the wall into the library building.
Inside, it was also very quiet. Nobody was yelling at Rory and he wasn't yelling either. In fact, there was no hint of Rory within the building. When she closed her eyes and concentrated, she got a hint of Dart on the edge of her senses, (his breathing slow, asleep) and of the new lady that had been inside of a metal animal before, also asleep. She frowned and fidgeted, twisting her hands in the hem of her dress for a few moments, trying to decide what to do. Usually, when everybody else was asleep, she would read, but perhaps she should prepare those animal skins since Micas had left...
She jumped slightly when she heard somebody screaming out on the front steps and went scurrying over to the main entrance. She found Hardy standing, looking rather unsteady, on the steps as the flying lady who had fixed everybody after the monster hurt them was soaring away from him. She watched the flying lady for a moment, her head tilted to the side, wondering why she sounded so angry, before turning her attention back to Hardy.
"Hardy!" she shouted, hopping down the steps towards him. "Almost everybody's gone away!"
