Character(s): Hexan and Peter
Content: Hexan heads to the hospital to get Peter
Setting: Heading south; the hospital
Warnings: None, yet
Hex thought, after the fact, that traveling alone was a bad idea. Of course, once he got to the hospital, he wouldn't be alone anymore, but he'd have to actually get to the hospital first.
And if there were more of those things out lurking, his chances of doing that dropped exponentially.
He took every precaution, tail hefted and sturdy, and fingers ready to touch his array. He peeked around corners and dashed through shadows, keeping as low as he could without running on all fours; he didn't want to tear up his hands any more than they already were, and they still hurt.
Either he was incredibly lucky, or very good at hiding- probably the latter- but he managed to avoid anything that looked too entirely dangerous before the large building entered his vision. Another hurried scuttle got him closer to the entrance, and he opened his mouth to call out, but stopped. If those things were around, they'd hear him, as quiet and lifeless as it was.
He was best just to keep quiet and low, and hope he spotted the guy he was looking for.
