Leirian made his way out of Zee's apartment building in better spirits than he had entered it, though it would take someone quite familiar with his normal bearing to notice any visible difference at all. It was nice to have a job again, something more than scavenging, fixing things, and trying to keep himself from leaking magic quite so badly.
A job that actually used some of the skills he had picked up at court, and on top of that, an excuse to visit the library. He flipped his journal open to check recent goings on. There was no need to venture into the unknown when many of the other people here seemed quite happy to divulge their plans. It seemed that the Hospital had plenty of help for their current emergency, including Nei'ess and Tyr from the library. A pity since they were two of the people he had actually looked forward to seeing again. But Micas was still at the Library, and if the timing worked out right, after he delivered his message, he hoped to speak with the quiet woman.
Linex may have had only trade in mind, but Leirian hoped to learn how to make better use of the animal carcases himself. Leather was a useful material, if nothing else. And Psyche seemed to delight in gifting him the corpses of her prey, so he had no shortage of hides, bone, feathers, and other useful seeming and less perishable parts set aside waiting to be turned into more than just remains.
He composed a quick note to Ares, to inform her of his impending trip. If nothing else to keep her from going to look for him if she came back to find him missing.
