Ares sat on the side of the fountain next to the fire-pit, her hands folded in her lap as she watched the flames dance above the broken pieces of furniture fueling it. When a figure emerged from an empty and dark doorway in her peripheral vision, she stood and turned to watch the leopard-man walking out into the square, headed for Mara's loft as usual.
'Linex,' she called to catch his attention. When he turned to look at her, seeming surprised at her presence, she continued. 'I found a book store yesterday. I was wondering if you would be willing to help me transport the contents here to make them easier to pursue.' She waited politely, although based on what she had observed of his behavior thus far she had no doubt as to what his answer would be.
