Rory came upon a scene of aftermath so extensive, it would take nothing short of a full construction crew to restore it, not that the building hadn't had it's structural discrepancies to start with.

What Hex was asking of him was going to be damn near impossible, especially with the guidelines he was being expected to follow. Heaving a weary sigh, both at the immense duty before him and his own shortcomings which would be brought to a very unimpressive light upon the others' return, Rory began searching for the most capable person that should be remaining on the premises.

"Tyr," he called, finding the man attempting to salvage what he could from the destruction. Limited options and resources be damned, he would NOT be held responsible for any new loss in the face of an attack. He would MAKE this work. "Hex has assigned me to fortifying our defenses. You know as well as I that that is both necessary and difficult, so I'd appreciate any help you can offer." Rory chose to leave Hex's assumption as to his abilities out of the equation. His task would be completed regardless.

Pondering what could possibly be sound enough to build a proper defense, he decided it would be prudent to search their closest surroundings for sturdy materials. "Have you come across anything so far that would prove a strong enough barrier for a temporary basis?"
