Well, this new lady, Ares, certainly seemed much more civilized than Mara had expected. In fact, there was a certain familiar air about her... She sniffed the air, smelling the pheromones, though their effect on her was little different than her normal state, and smiled. Interesting trait and she also felt mildly demonic.

There was something in the way Ares stated her lineage and house which reminded her of the higher-ranked demons and devils. Releasing Ana to crumple to the ground, Mara gave a wicked little bow. "Those names are unfamiliar to me, but am I to believe you are a member of one of the demonic noble houses of your world? You don't quite seem like a demon to me, something a bit off, but you speak with the right manners for it."

She straightened, standing in a relaxed posture which was unconsciously sexy and smiled broadly, showing her sharp teeth. "I am Mara, once a Xinxi in service to the Demonic Army, though I fear I have become tainted by a soul since the height of my glory and never possessed any lineage worth boasting of."

"This woman," Mara gestured to the quivering redhead at her feet, "Asked for my help and agreed to pay the price, not specifying either the extent of the help or agreeing on a payment in advance. I provided my end of the deal: some assistance in driving away the monster that had besieged them and in healing all the people present, some of whom bore serious injuries. Healing is a painful process for me since holy magic is not something a demon such as myself would normally use. Her companions agreed to pay a portion of the debt in supplies and I have taken this woman to have her repay the remainder of the debt."

She took a deep breath. It had been a while since she had dealt with a demon noble, even one as... odd as this. "I always honor my deals. Once I receive equal pay, I do not ask for more without giving in return. If someone else pays this woman's debt, I will let her go free. Otherwise, I will return her in two days' time, as near as can be reckoned here."
