[Maia has been spending most of her time wandering about the ship - mostly looking for a way out, although there really isn't one to be found. So, her natural reaction is to look for something else, since she cannot simply go back to help her brother in their own world. Not that Maia even knows that this place isn't a part of her home world, and

Yeesh! You'd think more people'd be prepared for this kind of thing! I guess most people don't plan on crashing cars into each other.
Whatever. Jak owes me big time for this, real big time.

It really doesn't take much effort to follow the sound of Daxter's voice - far too loud, far too easy to locate.]

Dammit-
Ugggh son of a bitch. Ow.

...Unless they wanted to be heard, anyway.]
How delightful. It seems that the smoking drunkard was telling the truth about you being here, after all.

Oh. Well that's why.
Daxter stared up at Maia with wide eyes, gaping. Oh dear.]

Maia. Goodness, have you forgotten my name, already? I'm hurt. [Maia places a hand against her chest to indicate the very obvious heartbreak, her tone mocking and her lips still smiling widely as ever.]

I think now is a bad time. Very bad. Excruciatingly bad. [Daxter begins to back up onto the luggage piles, casting a glance over his shoulder in search of the nearest air vent.]
In fact I really gotta go. Busy busy! So-
[He makes a break for the vent, scrambling over the luggage piles.]

Oh, but surely you have time for a just little chat? [A grin.] I promise it will be quick.

Y-y-yeah, sure. Quick talk is fine.

[Maia holds Daxter up close, still giving the ottsel a rather unsettling grin.]
My...source informed me that Jak was 'out killing himself'. Tell me, exactly where could I find him? I would like to wish him the best of luck in this endeavour.
[Maia knows very well that Daxter wouldn't simply tell her where Jak was, but really, that's what she's counting on. She just wants to play with the little rat, first.

You can find 'im right over the side of the boat. Just jump the railing, he'll be down at the bottom of the ocean. Make sure you tie a big rock around your ankles so ya make it down there.

...hm.
[Maia had been able to sense that Daxter came into contact with Dark Eco when she first met the little rat, but there's something different about it, this time. It isn't just contact, anymore. No...no, this is more similar to what Maia is afflicted with.]
You're full of Dark Eco.

Actually, I'm pretty sure that's the chicken I had earlier. Y-yeah, it tasted kinda funny; I was chewin' it and I was thinkin' to myself, "this stuff tastes just as bad as Dark Eco!" But y'know, everything tastes like chicken so chicken tastes like everything, or maybe they were free-range chickens that got into some nasty business, but you know how that goes am I right?
I'm right.
Anyway, it's been real great catching up with you, really. You're lookin' good for a dead chick. I think I'll be going now.
[Daxter wriggles a little bit in an attempt to squirm out of her grip.]

[Maia isn't exactly paying attention to any of what Daxter is saying, although she is doing a very thorough job of scrutinizing the furry animal. It's rather interesting - until now, she's never encountered anyone who had been exposed to Dark Eco the way she and Gol had been. It was quite a development, and would definitely require further investigation...in the near future, anyhow.]
And I trust that you plan on scampering off to find your owner, once I let you go?

[Maia drops Daxter on the ground and smiles down at him.]
Now run along - and do remember to tell Jak that I will be waiting for him.
