dragons

Cool dreams last night, what I can remember of them. Something about dragons.

It started off with an anchient mural carved into a stone wall. I've dreamed about this same carving before. In the past dream, it had something to do with Aliens, the Xenomorphs from the Alien movies. Those buggers show up in my dreams every now and then, generally as terrifying unstoppable killing machines. In the past dream, the dragon carving was somehow linked to the Aliens. I got the impression that the dragon figure was some sort of mutated Alien offspring that preyed on its progenitors.
The carving is of a short asian-style dragon standing in a menacing pose, its mouth open in a snarl, arms back as if preparing to lunge forward, and a pile of Alien heads near its feet.
Apparently (the dream informed me) there was an Alien infestation in some anchient culture. It was probably those pesky Predators and their Hunts. Something went wrong, perhaps a freak magic fusion between a Alien and some creature, or perhaps an existing dragon was awakened by the marauding Aliens, but the result was this intelligent and powerful dragon creature wreaking havok in the area, killing all the Aliens and anything that messed with it. It wasn't too keen on humans, either, but the humans were smart enough to stay out of its way, and probably left the occasional "please dont kick our asses" livestock out in the jungle for the dragon to eat.

Then some details I forgot. I know that I met a person, and they eventually revealed to me that they were a dragon in human form. I can't remember what they looked like, but their dragon form was quite large, a body about 20 feet and a tail about the same length. It was covered in dark grey scales with a matte surface.
It turned out that there were two adult dragons, and they had 5 children. They all appeared relatively normal, but behaved oddly. They were rather standoff-ish, and didn't seem to care much for conversation. Indeed, casual conversation and other social interaction seemed to make them impatient. When they did talk they were very succinct.
The 5 young dragons were all boys who appeared to be in their mid to late teens. Each young dragon had a different power. I can only remember that one of them could see into the future, though it was very vague and symbolic. He could also walk through walls. At some point in the dream another of the boy dragons was speaking with a hacker, trying to get some information from some government system. Then his brother showed up by walking through the wall. He surveyed the meeting, then I saw images flashing through his mind- a map of the area, with several blinking red arrows coming down the street and converging on their building, and an image of the room they were in, but everything was trashed and the hacker's laptop computer was lying dark in the middle of the floor. He said to the other boy dragon, "You need to get out of here right now." (or perhaps it was "you need to get away from here")

At another point later in the dream I asked the dragons about the dragons of myth, and whether or not the myths were true. They seemed to become upset and sad at my questions. Damnit, I could remember what they said this morning, but now all I can remember was that they wouldn't answer me, but said something about the past being gone, and that the war was over. I got the impression that the two adult dragons were the only survivors from a race of evil dragons. They had disagreed with their race on some matter, and some terrible event ended up wiping out the entire species except for them. They were no longer evil, but they weren't exactly Good, either. They only really cared about their children, and I think the children were interested in finding other dragons. Apparently it was possible for a person to be a dragon and not know it.

Damnit, when are scientists going to hurry up and invent dream recorders?
