*EDIT FOR CLARIFICATION*
This post is not to say that they only have one element. It is to state that each of them have a stronger connection to one element. They all connect to each other elements as well. It is not some "The Craft" babble, and honestly I do feel offended that some have attributed it to that.
I did not state that I have meditated for mine yet, so the jump to that conclusion was unnecessary. We all write our own rituals, meditations, etc correct? I establish what I'm doing as part of that. I'm creating a meditation for myself. I'm going to have my fiancee read it to me because I'm not good with meditation completely on my own, my mind has a hard time quieting and because he is my partner and equal. I'm not following *his* path, I'm following *my* path.
This edit was not to be catty, it was for clarification. I do hope that it is not taken out of context like the original one. I acknowledge that I did not write it as clearly as I could have.
I would hope that if there is any confusion or unclarity that this causes some people, that they would ask questions instead of jumping to conclusions.
Thank you.
*END CLARIFICATION EDIT*
Hello all,
Very new to the community (not so new to Wicca). My Fiancee introduced me to the theory/fact (whatever you want to call it) about your true element (earth, air, fire, water) calling you. Rather than the element be the one your Zodiac is related to, it's the element that you fit best with. To locate this element, his circle has each done a meditation to let it "come" to them.
I've attempted this before, however it did not go smoothly. My "time" wasn't entirely planned and I should not have done it at that point. I don't do well with meditation on my own and really should have waited.
Upon realizing the reasons why mine did not go smoothly, I began to write a meditation/walk through for myself which my fiancee would read and coax me through.
Currently I'm attending a very rigorous and intensive school, thus I've been out of the loop for quite some time. I believe there are a few things that have been "pushing" me back into the swing of things.
Anyways I suppose this *is* leading to a question. My question is: has anyone else heard of this type of theory? If so (or if not) how do you feel about it.
Also, which crystals (I know quartz is good), herbs, etc are good for grounding? Like I said, I'm pretty out of practice and am many miles away from home and most of my resources.
Thank you all,
Amalya Fae
P.S I must say that this seems like a really great little community (I always go in with skepticism and this was a nice surprise)
