I find it strange that no matter what book I pick up on spellwork, there are a million and one pages on color and astrological correspondences, herbs and oils, and maybe two or three sentences on actually doing the work of the spell, raising the energy.
It normally goes something like this...
"After you dress your candle/fill your poppet, ect, you raise power by dancing, chanting, or breathing technique." And then it just trails off into a terribly detailed explanation on writing rhymes for spells. WTF?
The reason I'm asking is because I never really cared how much was written in the past, as I was very comfortable with my methods, but I'm itching to explore. I would think there would be enough material to write a book on raising energy alone, but the subject is mysteriously vague.
Are there any books on it that I'm missing, or perhaps a book or website with a few chapters at least devoted to the subject? To me that's the real "meat" of the spell, and for all these authors to just gloss over it seems lame :((
Or, just general bitching in favor of my annoyance is always welcome, haha :)
